Vent-A-Fume fume extraction arms and the economical Place-A-Vent are energy-saving systems that capture and remove process emissions at their source and exhaust them quickly and efficiently into existing ductwork or to the outside. Unlike area ventilation, which removes fumes only after contaminating the entire area, Vent-A-Fume and Place-A-Vent keep harmful concentrations of contaminated air out of the immediate workspace and prevent their dispersal into the general plant, shop, or surrounding atmosphere. Vent-A-Fume - The First Solution 

In 1983, Vent-A-Kiln Corp. recognized the potentially hazardous problems associated with emissions from kilns used in schools and ceramic studios. As a result, we developed the world's first commercially manufactured ventilation system specifically for use with electric kilns. Taking advantage of the natural tendency of heat to rise, the system exhausts fumes and heat away from the work area. Since the same principles apply to many industrial, commercial, and processing applications, we adapted the concept of "source capture" to develop Vent-A-Fume and Place-A-Vent.
